Snowed in. Locked out. One bed.

Forced Proximity Story Generator

Two people with every intention of keeping their distance, and no room to do it. Give the generator the trap — a cabin, a road trip, a delayed flight — and it lets proximity do the flirting while the characters pretend they aren't.

Three ways this story starts

Steal one for the “anything else?” step, or just name two people and let the generator pick the collision.

A blizzard closes the mountain pass with two rival ski instructors in the same one-room patrol hut.
Her flight's cancelled, his rental car has one seat left, and the wedding they're both dreading is 600 miles away.
The elevator sticks between floors with the coworker he's been avoiding since the holiday party.

Forced Proximity, answered

What is the forced proximity trope?

Forced proximity is the trope of engineered closeness: circumstances (a snowstorm, a shared safe house, one hotel room left) put two people in a space too small for the distance they're trying to keep. It's a pressure-cooker for any dynamic — enemies, strangers, exes — because it removes the escape routes people use to avoid honesty. The classic tell is the inventory of small intimacies: shared meals, overheard phone calls, the negotiated middle of one bed.

Is this forced proximity generator free?

Yes — your opening scene is free with no account or card. Name the leads for your forced proximity story, then create an account with 30 welcome credits when you want to continue. Finishing the preview uses 5 credits. A new medium story uses 10. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no expiry.

Can I control how steamy it gets?

Choose Sweet, Romantic or Sensual for your free preview. Finishing that preview continues its existing tone. To write a new forced proximity story at Spicy, use the full generator after a credit purchase.

Are the stories private?

Saved stories are private to your account, with no public feed or search indexing. Download or copy the text when you want to share it yourself.

Can I continue the story or turn it into chapters?

Yes. Continue your forced proximity story, add an epilogue, or build a chapter series. Saved recipes and continuity summaries help carry earlier events forward; review and edit the prose as you go.
